He studied for two years with Ferdinand Kornet and four years with Mirjam Agtsteribbe, and found his love for chamber music through playing with his sister. At the age of twelve, Menno was admitted to the Sweelinck Academy, the young talent class of the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied for three years with Lex Korff de Gidts and one year with Ilya Grubert. He has won several prizes at the Princess Christina Competition and performed solo with the Orkest van het Oosten in 2018. After four years of study with Prof. Grubert, he graduated in December 2023 with the highest possible mark.

Menno is currently doing a bachelor's degree in Music Theory at the CvA.
